Take Vitamins Separately or as multivitamin?

I want to start a regimen and I wanted to include fish oil but I’m not super clear on what the benefits are,

Should I go with a good multi or go separately

Multi vitamins are a big net for general use. You may not need all the vitamins in the package, but it’s like having basic insurance coverage. If you are savvy about nutrition you would likely know where you might have deficiencies. There are good charts available that cross-reference vitamins with deficiency symptoms and suggested therapeutic doses. Maybe that would help you make your determination. If you are eating a balanced diet you don’t need vitamins necessarily.

I think fish oil would help in general because most people don’t eat fish every day. And those omega-3 fatty acids seem to help with so many things, including moods and clear thinking. There is evidence that it helps to slow the progress of Alzheimer’s disease. I’d also put garlic, walnuts, spinach, broccoli, virgin olive oil on the list to be eaten regularly.

Montel Williams wrote a book about his experiences with MS and how he helped his condition with nutrition. The thing he said over and over was “fruits and vegetables.” No one in America seems to be getting enough of those. And stay away from all sodas!
